BaylorOak began in 2020, in the beginning of covid-19. I had just found out I was pregnant only two weeks before. Due to Covid-19 I lost both of my jobs. Did I mention we we were also planning our wedding? After years of working full-time, I know I couldn’t just sit ant home and do nothing. So I started making apparel for our soon to be daughter, Oaklynn. Shortly after, I had friends and family wanting to order my apparel. Orders became a lot to keep up with on my own. I decided I would start to start my business on Etsy. That took off pretty quickly. Fast forward to the end of 2020 & early 2021 - I returned to work, only to realize how hard & expensive it was to find child care during this time. My husband and I decided it was time to quit my job & solely run my business from home with our daughter. It was a difficult decision, but we knew that if I could make it work, it would be worth it.
I started out by creating a website and building an online presence through social media. After months of hard work and dedication, my business started to take off and I was able to generate enough income for my family.
Today, we have two beautiful children, Baylor & Oaklynn. My online business is thriving and I am able to help provide for my family while still being able to spend quality time with them. It has been an incredible journey and I am grateful for the opportunity that has allowed me to pursue something that I love doing while providing for my family at the same time.
